Hello, my is Rainy, I am currently residing in Pittsburgh PA, but I am originally from San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. At the age of 6 my father made the difficult decision to bring my brother and I to the US in hopes of giving us a better life.
After high school I became an active member in local grassroots organizations, organizing undocumented youth - leading the fair education and immigrants’ rights movement in Reading and Berks County. While going to college, I was recruited by Make the Road Pennsylvania, a National Immigrant Rights Organization, as the Youth Organizer, where I led and educated youth about Social, Racial, and Economic Justice. I also work with GRIP (Greater Reading Immigration Project), a local scholarship program, where I helped educate and raise funds for DACAmented and undocumented youth in pursuit of a college education. After graduating college in 2019, I decided to take a break from community organizing and focus on my mental health and my pregnancy.
As much as I enjoyed activism, fashion has always been my first love. Since my young years I have been known as a “Fashionista” and have been dependably enthusiastic about wearing perfect adornments. Having my own brand has been one of my aspirations since middle school, when I began sketching clothing and jewelry as a pastime. Back then, that seemed like a dream and pure fantasy; how could a young immigrant girl living in one of the poorest cities in the US ever achieve such a thing? It wasn’t until I had my daughter that I realized that for me to be the best mother for her, I needed to find the courage to achieve my dreams.
I aim to create statement pieces that are simple yet elegant, that are versatile and complement all styles, adorn every look, and can be worn with confidence. I believe jewelry tells a story and can instill a sense of confidence as no other accessory can. I make pieces that I personally love in the hope that you will too.
